Security as a Guiding Principle
Safety is far more than just a technical term for us. We see it as a guiding principle for responsibility and foresight. As parents, we think about the world we are leaving to our children. As engineers and innovators, we are aware that technological progress brings not only new possibilities but also new risks.
We are responsible for the risks that technology presents. Therefore, we choose the big word "security" as our guiding principle for our actions.
Our relationship with electronics is no accident. Electronics are the backbone of almost all technological advancements. It's not just about developing new products, but about making them safe, transparent, and resilient.
Electronics secure essential aspects of our society: they ensure functioning infrastructure, enable progress within regulated frameworks, and create a stable foundation for the defense of our democracies. But if electronics serve progress, they also strengthen the defense capabilities and technological sovereignty of our country and the European Union.
By relying on robust, transparent, and dependable technologies, methods, and practices, we help shape a secure and sustainable world.

Functional safety
Functional safety ensures that an electronic system remains safe even when errors occur. It guarantees that no unacceptable risks arise for people, the environment, or equipment. This aspect is particularly important in safety-critical applications, such as in railway technology, medical technology, or aerospace. Established standards like IEC 61508 are used here. We ensure that your electronics meet the highest standards by employing redundant systems, careful fault management, and clearly defined development processes.
Cybersecurity of Electronic Systems
In addition to geopolitical tensions and hybrid conflicts, cybercrime poses a constant challenge. With increasingly sophisticated attack techniques, cybercriminals specifically target vulnerabilities in networked electronic systems to sabotage functions or cripple entire infrastructure components. As electronics developers, we must therefore act proactively to close security gaps and minimize damage from such attacks. This requires not only technical measures such as encryption and secure firmware but also organizational and strategic approaches.

Electronics for Security and Defense
Electronic systems for defense technology place the highest demands on security and robustness. They must function reliably under extreme conditions and must not exhibit any weaknesses that could lead to failures or data loss. We have experience in developing systems that meet these requirements. This includes not only protective measures against external influences but also compliance with the strictest security standards and guidelines in order to support our customers with resilient and highly available solutions.
Procurement Security
A crucial foundation for safety in electronics is the selection of trustworthy suppliers and components. Insecure supply chains or counterfeit components can severely jeopardize the quality and reliability of a system. We support our partners in selecting certified suppliers, establishing secure supply chains, and documenting the origin of all components. Furthermore, we consider platforms and porting: migrating existing electronic systems to new platforms must be carefully planned to maintain safety standards and avoid long-term risks.

Process safety
We adhere to strict standards in development and embed security in every step of our processes. We rely on established methodologies such as the V-model to ensure clear structures and transparency. If necessary, we integrate Security by Design from the outset: security requirements are considered as early as the conception phase, thereby creating the foundation for robust and secure products. Our approach is complemented by comprehensive technical risk management, which enables us to identify and address potential vulnerabilities early on. In this way, we create a process landscape that systematically places security at the forefront.
